Four years after the premiere of the first season, the second season is finally coming and will take place the summer after the first year of high school. However, it’s hard to tell what the second season will encompass, since the trailer is a quick 15 seconds and gives nothing away. Mix: Meisei Story is a sports anime that follows two step-brothers as they join their high school baseball team and follow in their father’s footsteps. Tōma and Sōichirō are a talented pair and bring with them the possibility of Meisei High returning to the Kōshien. However, the story isn’t always a happy one, as a tragic legacy unfolds 30 years after Meisei High’s only appearance at the High School Baseball Championship.
The series is based on the manga written and illustrated by Mitsuru Adachi. The manga began serialization in May 2012 in Shogakukan’s shōnen manga magazine Monthly Shōnen Sunday as a sequel to Adachi’s 1980s manga Touch. Touch ran from 1981 to 1986, and its chapters were collected into 26 tankōbon volumes. The Mix manga is ongoing, and as of July 2022, the chapters had been collected into 19 tankōbon volumes.
All24 episodes of the first seasonare currently available to stream onCrunchyrollin both subbed and dubbed formats. Although there has been no official announcement on where the second season will stream, it’s very likely that it will appear on Crunchyroll.
