UPDATE:The update scheduled to release on June 9 has since been delayed. According to theRustdevelopers, the new patch will be optional and possibly released on June 10 instead, full patch notes can be found in this article.

Due to recent feedback fromRustPC players surrounding the June content update, a new patch will be deployed on June 9 with some important changes.

Rust

The PC version ofRustreceived a pretty major content update last week, which included a major overhaul to the combat system in the game. One of the most notable changes included in the combat system came to the recoil pattern of weapons.

Facepunch Studios stated that the old recoil system was “loved by some, and hated by others”, which meant some changes were needed. The aim of the changes was to make the recoil of weapons less frustrating, which meant that instead of a pattern-based recoil, the developers would implement a gradient-based aim drift and inaccuracy for automatic weapons.

However, it seems as though fans didn’t take too kindly to some of the changes included in the update, which has caused the developers to announce the release of a brand new update for June 9.
