Christopher Nolan On Zack Snyder’s Influence on Superhero Science-fiction Film
In a recent interview withThe Atlantic,Christopher NolansaidZack Snyder’s influence on cinema is so dominant that part of his touch can be felt in any “superhero science-fiction film coming out these days.”
“There’s no superhero science-fiction film coming out these days where I don’t see some influence of Zack,” Nolan said.
“When you watch a Zack Snyder film, you see and feel his love for the potential of cinema. The potential of it to be fantastical, to be heightened in its reality, but to move you and to excite you.”
Nolan played the role of a producer in Snyder’sMan of Steel(2013), a film adapted from a narrative that Nolan developed with his collaborator David S. Goyer from theDark Knighttrilogy. Their friendship has endured since then.
