Resident Evil 4 Remakedoes a lot to keep the original feeling of the original game, with a lot of the locations you visit being incredibly similar to their original design. While there are a few noteworthy changes, one of the bigger ones is the expansion of the lake and the freedom to explore it after defeating the Del Largo monster.

After defeating the boss, you’ll find a shrine with two stone hands next to the key to the church. While your current objective is to solve this puzzle and retrieve the key, there is always time to complete some requests, especially one that has you fishing for a massive fish in the lake.
Lake Exploration
After defeating the Del Largo boss, you’ll find a new boat with an endless fuel supply that will allow you to travel around the lake. Looking at the mural in the cavewill mark on your map the locations of the shrines to find the Stone Dias.While you can rush to these locations, there is much more to find around the lake,like the Red9’s location, a useful and slightly more powerful handgun than your current one.
Around the lake, you can alsofind and solvethe Hexagon puzzleyou initially found before the Del Largo boss fight. Each of the other docks surrounding the lake is worth exploring as some provide treasures to be sold or small keys to be used to open locked cabinets around the world. After leaving the cave and before finding your new boat, there will bea request posted asking Leon to catch and sell a large fish to the merchant.

Catching The Lunker Bass
After accepting the request to catch the fish, return to your boat and head back into the lake. Even though a ton of harpoons were thrown at the Del Largo boss, there will still be an infinite supply of harpoons to throw,which happens to be perfect for fishing. Within the lake will be many fish to catch, which can be eaten as a healing item or sold to the merchant. Fish can sometimes be hard to spot in the water but are worthwhile collectionsas healing items can often be rare. After hitting a fish with a harpoon, you’ll need to circle back andget close enough to where it floated up in order to collect it.
The Lunker bass is foundin the bottom left area of the lake.It will be much larger than the other fish, making it much easier to spot and hit with a harpoon. After killing and collecting the fish, it will take up a decent amount of inventory space, but you’ll only have it for a short time.Return to the merchantwhere you started this chapter and enter the lake area to the merchant,selling him the fish to complete the request.
