Right in the first chapter of the game, players get a glimpse of what is to come in Leon’s grueling journey to rescue Ashley, a swarm of infected villagers, aka Ganados going after Leon. For newcomers to the game, it would not feel quite a lot initially to take down everyone considering the resources available in the area. However, in the entry of the Chainsaw Villager, aka El Salvador, in mere moments players would find themselves significantly outnumbered and struggling to keep up with the never-ending waves of enemies.

Thankfully, if you want to skip all the trauma of dealing with them, you may simply skip the entire fight. As discovered by Reddit useru/Tactical_Banter, you can simply skip the entire fight by shooting the bell in the Church. If you have gone past this sequence, you might be well aware of the fact that taking down all the enemies isn’t your objective, but surviving long enough is. If you survive for around five minutes, the Church bell rings and the villagers go inside and stop bothering you. This Easter Egg is a nice addition to the remake, as players can now skip the sequence entirely by ringing the bell themselves beforehand.

However, there is a catch. To pull this off, you need to use a sniper rifle, as it is quite difficult to shoot the bell with the pistol. To get a good view of the church, you need to head into the house which has the Shotgun inside. It is not quite easy to see the bell, but you’re able to get a fair idea about where to shoot in the video above. As you might have figured by now, this only works in New Game+, since a sniper rifle cannot be obtained that early in the game in a new playthrough. This should significantly help speedrunners who will be glad to save five precious minutes. This is one of the first Easter Eggs fans have discovered in the remake, and it will be interesting to see what else Capcom has in store.
