Just in case you didn’t have enough versions ofResident Evil 2, or you need something to help keep you busyuntil Resident Evil Requiem releases, Capcom might just have you covered, as long as you live in the UK.
TheResident Evil 2 Remake released back in 2019, but Capcom wants to bring players back to that version of the game’s world in a new way with Resident Evil 2: Dead Shot, an upcomingarcade light gun rail shooterthat will seemingly take players through the game’s story in a new way.

Resident Evil 2: Dead Shot is being developed in collaboration between Bandai Namco and Capcom, and (reported byIGN) is currently undergoing location testing at certain Namco Funscape locations around the UK.
IGN also got plenty of footage of the game in action from the location test for fans to peruse.

Point And Shoot Through Resident Evil 2’s Story
Resident Evil 2: Dead Shot breaks the original game’s story up into episodes, with five visible on the game’s episode select screen, only two of which are unlocked in the footage: the first one is the prologue, while the second is called “Hunted.”
The episodes are also further broken up into sections, with seven in the prologue, including a boss fight at the end.

The prologue opens with a quick brief on the start of Resident Evil 2’s plot, as Leon and Claire find each other in zombie-infested Raccoon City and head for the city’s police department, fighting various zombified cops and dogs along the way.

The game appears to still be in development, with its presence at Namco Funscape locations seemingly meant as a public test to help find and iron out early bugs.
It’s still anyone’s guess when we can expect to see a broader rollout of Resident Evil 2: Dead Shot, and if it will release in time to give players a refresher on Raccoon City beforethey go back there in Resident Evil Requiemwhen that game releases early next year.
