PUBG: Battlegroundsis set to undergo some lengthy server downtime later today (March 24), as console users gear up to receive the highly anticipated 16.2 update.
Patch 16.2 was released for PC players just a few short weeks ago, but now both PlayStation and Xbox users will be receiving all of the new content included in the update. Unfortunately though, before console players can jump into the new update, the servers will enter downtime for almost 8 hours later today.

Weâve heard your feedback that relatively useful weapons and their appropriate attachments should be spotted more frequently in Normal Match maps. Therefore, we ran a thorough internal tests based on the data of our current item spawns and decided itâd be best to adjust the spawn rate of ARs, DMRs, SRs, and scopes in Erangel and Miramar to reduce the frustration players feel when they lose a battle after some unlucky looting.
â» This item spawn rate balance will only apply to Normal Matches.
Due to the widespread distribution of item spawn spots in Miramar, players relatively take a bit more time to loot. Therefore, the spawn rate of weapons and items has generally increased.
