Project Evewas one of the many upcoming PS5 games featured at the latest PlayStation Showcase on September 9, and part of theNieR Automatafanbase has been criticizing the Korean game, calling it a rip-off - turns out Yoko Taro himself shared his thoughts on the matter.
Whether you believeProject Eveis a rip-off ofNieR Automataor not, I’m sure you’re able to’t help but make comparisons. Both are action RPGs and take place in a post-apocalyptic world. Featuring a beautiful female android as the protagonist.

Personally, I believe it’s a bit too early to say anything though. We don’t know much aboutProject Eve’sstory. And the battle system’s intricate details are still a mystery.Project Evemight as well be quite different in those regards compared toNieR Automata. Sure, we’ve seen a lot of fights and gameplay, but we have no official game system breakdown. We just know that there’s quite a lot of QTEs. Alongside a Bullet Time feature straight outtaBayonetta(orMax Payne/Matrixdepending on your references).
