Ghost of Tsushimais the next PlayStation Studios title to receive a PC port. After recent controversies about removingHelldivers 2in countries that do not support PSN, Sony doubled down on the requirement, and it is hurting both the fans and the game.

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut has been pulled out of regions that do not support PSN.

This business decision became a real head-scratcher because Sony wanted players to sign in with a PSN account for multiplayer moderation. However, the package comes with single-player content. It is infuriating to see players being locked out for silly reasons.

Ghost of Tsushima PC Is the Next Victim of the PlayStation Network

The company felt the hellfire rained down by the gaming community whenthe company removedHelldivers 2from online stores in 177 countriesthat do not support its proprietary network. The company backtracked and reversed the decision after a significant amount of negative reviews and the fans thought they had learned a lesson the hard way, unfortunately, it seems like the gaming company is a slow learner.

Fans Create their Own Major Order to Restore Helldivers 2 to its Former GotY Status

For a company that is all about generating more money, this is undeniably a ridiculous business move. Perhaps the network is essential for the company’s plans of expansion given the new overlay system it had revealed weeks before this recent fumble. If history has taught them anything is that the community will retaliate in a way that they will not like.

Fans Create their Own Major Order to Restore Helldivers 2 to its Former GotY Status

Some members of the gaming community are suggesting thatthese games should stop coming to PCif the publisher keeps enforcing this requirement. It could potentially be a major security and personal risk for consumers. Being denied access to purchase a video game for reasons that are beyond the control of the consumer can be extremely petty and be viewed as passive-aggressive.

Sony Seemingly Did Not Learn From the Helldivers 2 Fiasco

Even Johan Pilestedt, the game director and CEO of Arrowhead Game Studios knew there would be a backlash if the publisher decided to implement this requirement this late into the cycle. The game as well has been doing so well in months without the network but his hands were tied.

The company fails to see how this decision can affect other players who are not even interested in the online component and want to experience the story for what it is. Despite retracting the update for the live-service game, manyplayers were hopeful that this was the beginningof the company to have a better feel of the market and make the right decisions.

Helldivers 2 fans won the fight but the gaming community is still at war with PlayStation’s ridiculous requirements.

March 5th May be the Biggest Day in Four Years for PlayStation’s Ghost of Tsushima Franchise, if Rumours are True

Fans thought there would be some changes made for the better like reversing the censorship onStellar Blade. Unfortunately, it was just for that one game the company could not afford to be tarnished.

Refunds will roll out for players who were excited and pre-ordered the video game months before release but their excitement will be snuffed out. It is quite upsetting to think that the company sees this as a positive move when in reality many players are condemning them.
