Persona 5 Strikershad many gameplay changes from the first game. While much of the combat is very different now, one thing that stayed the same is that every boss is a unique puzzle to figure out and beat. Like usual enemies, every boss has a weakness, but finding and hitting those weaknesses is only half the battle.

For the most part, bosses appear at the end of each jail, with you finally going face to face with the shadow of the jail’s owner. In true JRPG fashion, these bosses range from a small humanoid bunnies to massive dragons. Some bosses can be a bit more challenging than others, and we went ahead and made a list in that order.
8Berserk Sophia
After Ichinose controls Sophia to stop the phantom thieves, you’ll begin a boss battle with the remaining party members against Sophia. While this is a scripted fight, there will be a brief time when actual combat is happening, and Sophia can surely catch you off guard.
You’re not able to do any damage to Sophia, resulting in most of this boss fight being a game of catch. Sophia is able to use her elemental abilities, and should they hit, a weakness can deal significant damage. While this is only loosely defined as a boss fight, you are still able to lose against a stronger-than-usual enemy.

7Nightmare Dragon Ango
This boss at first may seem very formidable, but despite his strength and a few special moves, the game gives you all the tools you need to beat him easily. The challenge with any boss is to bring the right party members to hit the boss’s weakness, but that is mostly irrelevant in this fight.
Throughout the arena, there are multiple stacks of swords that can be interacted with to throw at the boss. These swords auto-lock onto the boss and deal less damage, which is what he’s weak to. For those willing to take the easy path, you can simply jump from each stack of swords indefinitely, hitting his weakness to get All-Out-Attacks.

6Hundred Armed Watcher
While this boss doesn’t stand out much for many of the other bosses, its difficulty comes from the lead-up more than the actual fight. Before this boss fight begins, you’ll first deal with many waves of shadows, and if you are unaware of the coming boss, you may not conserve enough SP for the fight.
This boss doesn’t hit as hard as others but will fight you surrounded by a horde of smaller shadows. The number of enemies on the battlefield only adds to the difficulty and will distract you from the boss’s powerful attacks.

5Akane’s Joker
On a cinematic level, this boss fight is incredibly cool, with the phantom thieves all breakingoff to fight shadow versions of themselves. While the spectacle of this fight is great, it’s also why Joker is left to fight his other version alone in a 1v1 boss fight.
The mechanics of this fight are nothing special, as the other Joker will use the same attacks and abilities as you, but he has a much larger health pool and no need to heal. The difficulty of this fight will quickly arise once you’re out of SP and need some room to breathe to use items to recover HP/SP. Through this fight, you’ll soon blow through your stash of healing items as it’s your only option.

4Empress Mariko
Empress Mariko has multiple gimmicks throughout the fight to add to the difficulty. Whenever a blizzard happens, you’ll be left moving incredibly slowly until you reach a space heater within the boss room. While moving slowly, you’ll be an easy target for the boss, making it a necessity for you to turn the heater back on ASAP.

At other random points in the fight, Mariko can eat one of your allies. This will remove them from combat until you do enough damage or drop a chandelier on the boss. The eaten party member will also take a substantial amount of damage and possibly be knocked out upon escaping.
Mad Rabbit Alice is the first boss in the game, and while the first jail operates as the tutorial jail, the boss is quite the power check. You’ll need to go back into the jail and grind a bit, as running through the jail once won’t leave you strong enough for this boss.

With no previous boss experience, the game does little to explain how and when you should use the air cannons to stop Alice’s strongest attacks. With a small SP pool, getting many All-Out-Attacks off on the boss will be difficult and will mostly need to wear her down with basic attacks.
2Zephyrus Mech/ Akira The Hero
This is a two-part boss fight, with Akira first being in the Mech and then fighting without it. The first stage can be decently tricky, but the cannons along the arena’s sides hit the Mech’s upper section to deal a lot of damage.
Akira The Hero is much more difficult, as he is a smaller target to try and hit, who also moves very fast. Akira is constantly on the move, with him often jumping outside the areas of effect of your stronger elemental attacks. Akira’s combos deal large amounts of damage and will hit multiple times, easily knocking down your party members.
1False-God Demiurge
Being the final boss of the game, it would make sense this boss is difficult and a multi-stage fight. This battle utilizes every phantom thieves member, ensuring you’ve leveled them up equally and they all have good gear. You’ll also need to carefully choose how you group off your party, ensuring each group will be equally effective in their fight.
Each battle on the upper platform will have you at a disadvantage, as you’ll never be able to cover all the type of weaknesses. Each fight will need to be won through basic attacksand constant SP recoveryitem usage. The final battle against the main body of the Demiurge will require your best party members and will need to be fought with only three members to keep the other fights equal.
