Atlus published newPersona 5 Royalscreenshots and artwork. They show the Phantom Thieves, their new personas, and some of the game’s new activities. These are technically not brand new but are the same screenshots and artworkfound in Famitsu a few weeks ago. Atlus finally released direct-feed versions of all of them.

Moreover, Atlus also published character profiles for Joker, Ryuji, Ann, and Yusuke. They basically say everything we already know about them, and it’s nothing particularly interesting so I won’t be spending time translating them.

In the originalPersona 5, most of the Phantom Thieves' personas evolutions had disappointing designs in my opinion, but the new ones they revealed so far look particularly cool. I’m looking forward to unlocking these.

It’s also interesting to think about what will happen to the Darts game in the non-Japanese versions ofPersona 5 Royal. It’s based on the real-life Darts gameDarts Live 3. Depending on how Sega struck the deal, maybe the Darts game’s name and appearance will be replaced outside Japan. At least we’re in 2019 now. In the past, most localizations would simply completely remove the Darts game.

The new gameplay additions seen in the screenshots were already explained during the Morgana’s Report gameplay videos. Here’s thefirst one, thesecond one, andthe third one.

Most of thePersona 5 Royalmain cast main got their own specific introduction trailer now:Kasumi,Ryuji,Ann,Yusuke,Makoto.Futaba,Haru,andMorgana.The one with Morgana also shows his new persona, Diego.

Persona 5 Royalis also getting its first live stream on August 2. We’ll provide a full summary of it so stay tuned. Atlus will probably reveal a new full-length trailer forPersona 5 Royalduring the stream. It’s highly possible we’ll seeanother new confident character as well.

PS4 exclusivePersona 5 Royallaunches on October 31 in Japan and sometime in 2020 in the west.
