When you first begin your adventure inPath of Exile 2, you will likely want to experiment with your build to see what suits you and your play style best.
Even when you think you have an excellent build going, the jump in difficulty between Acts can leave your character lacking in some departments. Whenever that happens, it’s a good idea to level up your gear, weapons, skills, andsupportsto stay competitive.

Path of Exile 2: Best Classes For Solo
It’s a little less dangerous to go alone with these classes.
That includes switching up skills on your passive skill tree. Unfortunately, however, it doesn’t come cheap. Here is everything you need to know about resetting your passives in Path of Exile 2.

How to Unlock the Ability to Reset Passives
There is only one NPC in PoE 2 that can reset the skills on your passive skill tree, and thankfully, you meet him early on in your adventure.
To unlock the ability to reset yourpassive skill points, you first have to complete theSorrow Among Stonesquest in Act 1 to unlockthe Hooded One.

The Sorrow Among Stones quest sends you to the Cemetery of the Eternals. Once there, you will have to fight through the hordes of enemies, clear the Mausoleum of the Praetor, clear the Tomb of the Consort, and finally, face off against Lachlann of Endless Lament in the graveyard.
The Mausoleum of the Praetor and the Tomb of the Consort both hold their own mini-boss battles with Praetor Draven and his consort, Asinia. And with Lachlann of Endless Lament stacked on top, that’s three mini-bosses in total you must defeat to complete the Sorrow Among Stones quest.

All three mini-bosses are powerful foes, as are the hordes of smaller enemies that patrol the cemetery. ensure you are equipped with good armor and weapons before taking them on.
How to Reset Passives on Your Passive Skill Tree
Once you have cleared out the cemetery, head back to the Clearfell Encampment and speak to Una in the small shack on the left side of the village.
Give her the ring you pilfered from Count Lachlann after defeating him to complete the Sorrow Among Stones quest. She will use the power of the ring to release the Count’s binding and revive the Hooded One.

Once the Hooded One has recovered, you will be able to interact with him to refund your passives and identify any gear you find so you don’t need to burn through so many Scrolls of Wisdom.
Path of Exile 2: How To Unlock Ascension Classes
Ascending is a major milestone for your character in Path of Exile 2, so here’s how to finally unlock your Ascension.
The Hooded One will follow you to each encampment you settle in, so you can find him and reset your passives in any Act!
The Hooded One can grant you the ability to reset the skills on your passive skill tree, but it does come at a cost. That cost is exactly 866 dollars per skill.
There are a lot of skills on the passive skill tree, and 866 per one adds up extremely quickly. If you want to do a complete overhaul of your character, make sure you have a lot of money in the bank first.
That way, you don’t risk being stuck with a half-baked skill set that you have to use while grinding for more cash.
To reset a skill, select the skill you would like to remove from your skill tree. If you are able to refund it, you will be offered the option toApply RefundorCancel.
Press Apply Refund to remove the skill from your passive skill tree. The money will be removed from your total, and the skill will be taken off your tree. You will receive a skill point in return, which you can spend on any other skill in the skill tree.
Skills in the passive skill tree work like a chain.you’re able to only learn a skill if you have already unlocked one of the skills next to it.
Resetting your passive skills works in the same way. You have to work backward through your skill tree as you refund skills and are unable to remove skills that are in the middle of a chain.
Skills that +5 points to Dexterity, Strength, or Intelligence, however, can be switched rather than completely removed if you don’t want to use that skill point for something else.
To switch the Attribute, select the skill and choose what Attribute you would like to apply instead. These can be changed while they are still part of a chain, so you don’t have to worry about removing all surrounding skills to change your Attributes.
Path of Exile 2: How to Farm Uniques
Uniques are what every player strives to receive as a drop in Path of Exile 2, but is there a way to farm them?
Refunding your passives can be a very expensive endeavor. If you need more cash to reset all of your passives, do a couple of runsfarm some gearto sell.
Saving gear for theReforging Benchcan be tempting, but if you need cash, selling items is a quick and easy way to do it.
