Edward Newgate Deserves More Respect To His Name
Edward Newgate, popularly known as Whitebeard, was the captain of the Whitebeard Pirates and was named the Strongest Man on the planet. He is one of the strongest characters inOne Piece, if not the strongest. He consumed the Gura Gura no Mi and developed the ability to create quakes. The fan theory suggests that he never showcased his ultimate strength since it could have destroyed the entire planet.
In his prime, he could have easily defeated Gol D. Roger. People might disagree with it since Gol D. Roger was also pretty strong and blocked Whitebeard’s attack. But it was not the true extent of his abilities. His Gura Gura no Mi can cause quakes, which lead to landslides and tsunamis. In the manga, the Devil Fruit bubble hardly covered his entire arm, yet it was strong enough to change the geography of the Marineford.
Suffering from old age and cancer, Newgate’s Devil Fruit powers were strong enough to send shockwaves to the Sabaody Archipelago.
