Thus, the celebration ofOne Piece’ssilver jubilee is also going to be grand and entertaining.
While fans have been waiting to find out about howOne Piecewill celebrate its 25th anniversary, the creators of the series have officially announced an all-new anime special short film. This short film will focus on the everyday characters in the series who have been influenced by the Straw Hat Pirates in some kind of way.
However, it looks like the story as of now will focus only on the Navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates, Nami. The short story that will be foretold in the short film will center around a character who was inspired by Nami, giving the Navigator of the crew a chance to shine brighter than the other Straw Hat Pirates.

2024 marks the 25th year of theOne Pieceanime series. It started in 1999 and has been going strong ever since. Thus, to celebrate the 25th anniversary,One Piecedecided to give a gift to anime fans by releasing a short film based on Tomohito Osaki’sStraw Hat Stories, titledOne Piece Fan Letter.

Straw Hat Storiesis a collection of multiple short stories that revolve around everyday characters in the world ofOne Piece, whogot influenced by the Straw Hat crewin some way or the other.

However, these characters do not necessarily start their pirate journey. Instead, they use these inspirations to bring a change in their own personal lives.
The short film is directed by Megumi Ishitani, character designs are done by Keisuke Mori, and the script is written by Momoka Toyoda. The film is set to air on Jul 05, 2025, and by the looks of the trailer, it will most probably only follow one of the nine different stories written in Osaki’s Straw Hat Stories.

According to the trailer,One Piece Fan Letterwill follow the story of a young girl from Sabaody who is the biggest fan of Nami as she idolizes female pirates.
The story takes place in Sabaody Archipelago, two years after the events of the Paramount War when the Straw Hat Crew returns from their time skip.
Although theStraw Hat Storiescontain stories denoting almost every member of the crew, the creators of the short film decided to go with the one focusing on Nami. This givesNami a chance to shine brighterthan the other Straw Hat Pirates. Plus, the silver jubilee occasion forOne Piecemakes the release of the short film even more special.
