When it comes toShark Tank, the drama is often just as compelling as the deals. Every now and then, a pitch sparks such intense emotions that the tension between the Sharks takes center stage. In one unforgettable episode, things escalated so much that three venture capitalists walked out of the show.

This happened when a company named Scholly took the stage, leading to an extremely heated debate among the judges. The situation ultimately forced Mark Cuban, Kevin O’Leary, and Robert Herjavec to walk off stage to distance themselves from Lori Greiner and Daymond John.
Why caused such a heated debate over Scholly’s pitch onShark Tank?
In its 16-season run,Shark Tankhas witnessed its fair share of heated moments. But sometimes, the drama behind the deals takes center stage. This happened in the sixth season of the show when entrepreneur Christopher Gray walked into the tank to pitch his app, Scholly. The app was designed to help students find scholarships they might otherwise miss.
As expected, it quickly captured the attention of the Sharks, particularlyLori GreinerandDaymond John. Gray was asking for $40,000 in exchange for 15% equity in his business, viaLooper. Both venture capitalists were impressed by the pitch and wasted no time teaming up to make an offer. This quickly landed them a deal with Gray, who left the tank excited. However, a fiery debate broke out among the judges soon after.

The clash occurred because Greiner and John pushed to finalize the deal quickly, leaving no time for Mark Cuban andRobert Herjavecto ask questions. This upset Kevin O’Leary as well, and the three of them accused the duo of treating Scholly like a “charity” deal without properly examining the app.

On the other hand, Greiner and John believed they acted this way because they saw potential in the app and didn’t feel they needed to ask any more questions. Things escalated further, and in a rare move for the show, Cuban, O’Leary, and Herjavec decided to walk out of the tank altogether.
It was clear that the trio wanted to cool off and avoid further confrontation, leaving viewers stunned. While this was surprising, it still doesn’t surpass what Richard Branson did on theShark Tankstage, making his appearance one of the most talked-about moments in the show’s history.

Richard Branson and his controversial water fight with Mark Cuban
Shark Tankhas been a staple of the ABC network for almost 15 years and has featured several guest appearances. While people loved Ashton Kutcher and Kevin Hart for their business knowledge, it was Sir Richard Branson who had one of the most talked-about cameos inShark Tankhistory. The founder of Virgin Group did something widely controversial in Season 9, Episode 1, that left everyone surprised. (viaLooper)
Branson’s stint started out smoothly, but everything changed when Yunha Kim stepped onto the stage with her meditation app, Simple Habit. Kim’s app focused on helping people reduce stress through guided meditation, but her funding request didn’t sit well withMark Cuban.

He believed Kim didn’t need the money and made his feelings clear, even calling her a gold digger. This obviously raised some eyebrows, and Branson also called his comments a bit too harsh. In a surprising move, he picked up his glass of water and threw it at Cuban to defend Yunha Kim. Cuban, never one to back down, also threw water back at Branson.

The two Sharksended up drenched, and the rest of the panel couldn’t help but laugh at the unexpected moment. While it was all in the heat of the moment, the water fight lightened the mood and avoided a more serious argument.
Unfortunately for Yunha, the drama overshadowed her pitch, and she left the tank without a deal. However, her appearance became one of the most memorable moments inShark Tank’shistory.
