The world is still trying to accept the tragic death of Liam Payne, known for his contributions as a member of the iconic UK-based boy band, One Direction. However, one person in particular has been receiving the worst of it, his ex-fiancée Maya Henry, whom he was with from 2018 to 2022. Based on what various sources and outlets have uncovered, it seems like Payne was having a rough time dealing with his history with Henry before his death. What’s even more eerie is how Maya’s book,Looking Forward, contained details similar to how Payne lost his life.

Earlier this year, Maya Henry celebrated the release of her book,Looking Forward, which was branded based on true events (viaGEO News). However, Henry, an established YouTuber and author never confirmed if her book was based on the rocky relationship withLiam Payne.
In one chapter of the book, Henry writes about characters Mallory and Oliver, and the latter’s struggle with drug abuse. According to the book, Oliver would act erratically because of his drug usage and be “ferociously hitting himself” at times. But this line that Henry had written caused a stir amongst fans:
Before I can even touch him, he’s on his feet. He looks at me for a split second, then turns on his heels and races straight for… Oh no… F**k, the balcony.
While Mallory tried to convince Oliver not to hurt himself, he threatened to end his life. Unfortunately, those details from the book were precisely how Payne ended up losing his life. While staying at the Casa Sur Palermo hotel, Payne fell off his room’s balcony resulting in instant death (viaPEOPLE).

TheDaily Mailalleged that Payne’s room was filled with drug paraphernalia and a damaged television. Multiple sources also claim that Payne acted erratically in the hotel lobby before breaking his laptop and being carried to his room.

It’s quite unfortunate to know that Liam Payne went through a great mental struggle before losing his life in what’s yet to be deemed a suicide or accident.PEOPLEmentioned that the local authorities are still investigating the incident to determine what led to the tragic death of the superstar.
Maya Henry has also been suffering through a great deal of backlash though she isn’t responsible for Payne’s death. But it was revealed that she issued a cease-and-desist letter days before Payne’s untimely passing. A source told PEOPLE that the singer was overwhelmed by the legal issues he had been facing.
TheDaily Mailstated that Henry took this step as she was repeatedly being contacted by Payne. In aTikTok video, Henry claimed that she was approached through different phone numbers and Payne would also reach out to her mother and friends.
It’s always from different phone numbers too. I never know where it’s going to come from . . . Also [he] will email me. Not only me, but he’ll blow up my mom’s phone. Is that normal behavior to you? Also messaging my friends. I found out later so they could go over to his house apparently.
Following his death, anold clipof Maya admitting she was warned about the One Direction alum’s mental health and that she was asked not to publish her book as people would ultimately blame her if anything happened to him. Yet, here we are, living the exact scenario she was warned that would happen.
