Christopher Nolan’sOppenheimerchronicled the life of Cillian Murphy’s J. Robert Oppenheimer, including his contribution to the Manhattan Project and the trials and tribulations in his personal life.Florence Pughplayed Jean Tatlock, a woman Oppenheimer has an on-and-off relationship with.
Although brief, the film shows the dysfunctional relationship between Tatlock and Oppenheimer. Pugh and Murphy had sx scenes in the film which also involved important character motivations and emotions. However, the two actors were faced with an awkward situation when the camera that was filming the scene broke down and they had to sit there nked.
In a Q&A session hosted by Jamie Dornan (viaYouTube), Pugh revealed that it was bad timing for it to happen and they had to wait for it to be repaired. She even tried to educate herself by questioning the camera operator about what went wrong with the camera. She said,
“In the middle of our sx scene, the camera broke. No one knows this, but it did. Our camera broke when we were both nked and it was not ideal timing. This is the moment to learn…So tell me, what’s wrong with this camera? You just make your moments. I’m like, ‘What’s going on with the shutter here, buddy?'”
Pugh’s anecdote had the audience in splits with the story; it is a hilarious anecdote from the film. The two actors successfully portrayed the characters’ complex relationship and added more layers to Oppenheimer’s story.

Cillian Murphy Was In Shock After Hearing About His Oscar Nomination
Cillian Murphyrecently received his first Oscar nomination for his brilliant performance in Christopher Nolan’sOppenheimer. The actor revealed to theNY Timesthat he was in complete shock after hearing the news.
The actor further expressed his gratitude for the nomination and for being a part of a film that has resonated so well with audiences. He said,
“It’s very, very humbling. I’m kind of a little in shock. It’s just a real honor to be involved in a film that has connected so powerfully with people in a way that we never expected”
Oppenheimerhas been nominated in 13 categories at the Oscars and is expected to win at least half of the nominations. All will be known when the Oscars are held in March this year
