The C Button Might Connect To The Original Switch

According to eXtas1s, the purpose of the C button is that it will allow the Switch 2 to connect with the original Switch. This will allow the player to use the Switch as a controller for the new system or for the Switch to be used as an extra screen for the Switch 2.

If this leak is true, then there are tons of possibilities for Switch 2. Maybe if two screens are connected at once, then a Switch and Switch 2 combo can be used to playNintendo 3DS, DS, and Wii U games. This could be part of an expanded tier on Nintendo Switch Online.

This would also give players a reason not tosell their original Switchwhen the new console launches, which would instantly devalue the retail value of the system, as the market would be flooded with cheap units that players want to get rid of to fund the new console.

The C button has baffled fans since it was first revealed, but if these leaks are correct, then it could bethe killer additionthat the Switch 2 needs.
