What’s new on the Nintendo Switch this week? What new games will be joining the thousands already available on the Nintendo eShop? Is it worth crawling out from beneath the warm covers, or should you stay nestled until Christmas to see what’s sitting under the tree? Get out of bed, you lazy sods - it’s a good week for new games!

Out of season, sure, but never out of style,Resident Evil 7: biohazardfinally hits the Nintendo Switch this week as a cloud release. Japanese players actually got to explore the house of horrors back in 2018, and it’s only now we’re seeing the game get a release on the Switch in the west. It’s the complete package, too, as it includes all the previously released DLC and bonus content, meaning you pay once and that’s it. How refreshing, no?

Final Fantasyfans are in for a big treat this week as Square Enix gears up to release Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion, a remake of the PSP exclusive. It’s not just a simple resolution boost - it’s a full-on remake with everything from the graphics to the soundtrack being completely reworked. A new addition, too, is that the game features full voice acting, something the original couldn’t manage on the PSP’s humble hardware.

For something a bit more family-friendly,Lil Gator Gamemay be worth a look. It’s out on Wednesday and it looks adorable. Colorful graphics, a cozy open world to explore, and lots of stuff to collect. It’s a formula that rarely goes wrong. It’s also very easy on the wallet with an asking price of $19.99, though you can bag the game for $13.99 with the 30% pre-order discount. That’s a discount worth… snapping up.

For everything else, here’s what’s coming to Nintendo Switch this week.
