Hy Hero Academia Chapter 407 Spoilers
The chapter kicks off with a prostitute afflicted by a disease, resulting in a spike-shaped growth on her left arm. Unaware of this, as two babies developed inside her, sapping her strength, she eventually gave birth to twins by a riverside before passing away. Strangely, the strange disease on her arm vanishes. As rats gather to feed on the corpse and the infants, the river’s current sweeps the twins away.
A year later, a baby is born in China, endowed with newfound abilities that extend not just to newborns but also manifest in individuals who haven’t yet reached puberty. Scientific studies reveal this as a unique augmentation in human capabilities. However, when this information is made public, it unleashes chaos.

Years down the line, an extremist faction opposed to these meta abilities emerges. This group comes across a child they label as ‘an orphan of the paranormal’ and keeps their distance, fearing infection. All for One observes their actions before swiftly obliterating their bodies.
AFO stole the quirk from his mother and his perception was twisted from birth, making him believe the world was his for the taking. The scene portrays Baby AFO biting into his deceased mother. Later, a young All For One is depicted attacking individuals, but Yoichi intervenes by throwing a can, urging All For One to halt. The narration clarifies that AFO’s theft of his mother’s nutrients led to his brother’s stunted growth and frailty.
Years later, the radio broadcasts news of the “glowing baby” engaged in frontline peacekeeping efforts. Meanwhile, Yoichi indulges in reading comics. All For One inquires about Yoichi’s reading material, to which Yoichi responds that he can’t handle complex books just yet. Despite everything, Yoichi retains his belief in his brother’s inherent goodness, rooted in the memory of AFO holding his hand during infancy. Later, AFO mentions that the radiant baby has garnered over 10 million supporters, which seems completely illogical to him.
Before the appearance of the glowing baby, 50 individuals in India were born with quirks. AFO deemed the glowing baby unworthy of commanding such a following without being the first, leading to AFO killing the baby and seizing his power. When questioned by Yoichi about this act, AFO explains that he’s emulating the comics.
In those stories, the phrases “One For All” and “All For One” held significance, which AFO found appealing. While heroes fought discreetly, villains wielded power through fear. Just as Yoichi aspires to be a hero, AFO dreams of a world where everything exists for his own sake.
In the final panel, Kudou grasped Yoichi’s hand and forcefully pulled him away from AFO. Despite AFO being the one who granted Yoichi powers, his brother was choosing to flee. This confusion incensed AFO, leading him to seemingly sever Yoichi’s hand.
