According to RalphsValve’s report, changes to the UI and UX are incoming. “Some revision is coming to the UI/UX for the future of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0”, the report states. Exactly when these changes will be implemented wasn’t made clear, but with the launch of Warzone 2.0 now just two weeks away, it’s possible that UI revisions could be implemented with the launch of Season 1 on November 16th.
A quote from an unknown source was also included in the report, which reads, “it’s a work in progress, there’s a lot of moving pieces […] updates have been well underway”. Ralph goes on to express that several departments are continuing to work in collaboration to “sharpen” the UI and other interfaces for Season 1 and beyond.
During the open beta for Modern Warfare 2 earlier this year, Infinity Ward did acknowledge some issues with the new UI. In a community feedback post from the first beta weekend, the developers said that they have “seen the feedback around difficulty editing perk packages, managing loadouts and accessing the armory” with the new UI. They went on to state that UX issues and bugs had been identified and would be rectified for launch, but it appears as though there’s still plenty of work to be done.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is now available forPlayStation4, PlayStation 5,XboxOne, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
