Whether in real life or fantasy, money and commodities make the world go ‘round. You could always use more items, equipment, and sellable materials as you build your war chest.

If you’re looking to increase your cash of quality products, the Merchant Archetype’s Lucky Find skill will provide quite the windfall.

With Lucky Find, your likelihood of receiving items after winning a battle is increased by 20%. It seems small, but with how many scrapes you get into in an average dungeon, it will definitely start to add up.

9Paladin: Revitalise 3

One Less MP Bar To Feed

Recovers significant MP every turn.

MP is a precious resource inMetaphor’sdungeons. It’s constantly draining down in every battle, leaving you with just wisps by the time you get to a boss.

If you don’t want to waste the precious few MP recovery items you get, a passive like the Paladin Archetype’s Revitalize 3 can go a long way.

8Dark Knight: Instant Recovery

Shake It Off, Soldier

Dark Knight Level 18

Ensures status ailments are automatically cured in 1 turn.

Status ailments are a major pain. Not only do they hamper your ability to attack and defend in a fight, but they persist until you cure them, or they wear off on their own.

If you can’t spare the curative items, it’s anyone’s guess how many turns your party members will be afflicted.

With the Dark Knight Archetype’s Instant Recovery, any and all ailments you incur will automatically be cured after just one turn.

If you absolutely have to put up with ailments, let it be for the briefest possible time.

7Ninja: Third Eye

Can’t Touch This

Ninja Level 20

When attacked, halves attacking enemy’s Hit Rate.

While it’s helpful to have astout party member like Hulkenbergwho can safely tank a few hits, it’d be even better if nobody got hit at all.

How are you supposed to improve your dodge odds without casting debuffs on foes, though? Simple, with the Ninja Archetype’s Third Eye.

When any ally with Third Eye is attacked, the attacking enemy will have their hit rate halved right before they take a swing.

This will massively improve your odds of avoiding attacks entirely, reducing damage and costing the enemy their turn icons.

6Pugilist: Dodge Master

No Critical Hits Allowed

Pugilist Level 20

Enemies cannot critically hit wielder.

Critical hits from enemies are an ever-looming threat. Even if you’ve set up your characters to diminish or nullify their weaknesses, a poorly timed critical will still give the enemy an extra turn.

Luckily, there’s a way to nullify even the universal weakness to critical hits: the Pugilist Archetype’s Dodge Master skill.

Any party member with Dodge Master equipped will be completely immune to critical hits, full stop.

They’ll still take the damage, but it can never go critical, which can provide some peace of mind.

5Wizard: Shield Blessing

Another Good Incentive To Buff Your Party Members

Wizard Level 11

While Attack/Defense or Hit/Evasion are buffed, recover a significant amount of MP every turn.

In general, it’s a good practice to provide your party members with attack, defense, and hit rate buffs whenever you have a free turn.

The bonuses are plenty of incentive in themselves, but if you need an extra reason to do so, try equipping the Wizard Archetype’s Shield Blessing.

Each Archetype has its own role to play in Metaphor: ReFantazio and can be levelled to Elite tiers which unlock new skills and abilities.

With Shield Blessing, any party member that currently has an active buff will passively regenerate MP when their turn comes up.

you’re able to make your Wizard stronger and ensure they have enough MP to keep casting. It’s a win-win.

4Dragoon: Unshaken Will

Enough With The Status Ailments Already

Dragoon Level 20

Prevents Charm, Daze, Forget, Sleep, and Rage.

The most sensible solution for dealing with status ailments is having a big stash of curative items on hand.

However, do you know what would be even better? Not having to deal with status ailments at all. Enter, the Dragoon Archetype’s Unshaken Will skill.

Any ally equipped with Unshaken Will will be completely immune to mental ailments including charm, daze, forget, sleep, and rage.

If you pair Unshaken Will with the Martial Artist Archetype’s Battle Master skill, you’ll be completely immune to all ailments except anxiety.

3Tycoon: Critical Trade

An Eye For Quality Means An Eye For Weakness

Tycoon Level 16

Doubles chance of dealing a critical hit to an enemy.

Fishing for critical hits is a numbers game. Specifically, you want your enemies to have the lowest odds, while you want the best odds for yourself.

Besidesequipping accessoriesand casting Rebellion, the best way to put your thumb on the scale is to equip the Tycoon Archetype’s Critical Trade skill.

While Critical Trade is equipped, every physical attack launched against an enemy has twice the chance of going critical that it normally would.

This skill is indispensable for physical damage Archetypes like Warrior or Berserker.

2Martial Artist: Unyielding Blood

Everyone’s Entitled To One Mulligan

Martial Artist Level 15

Allows one ally to endure one fatal attack restoring them to full HP, once per battle.

Whenever you encounter a new monster in Metaphor, there’s always an unpleasant scenario looming.

Specifically, one where you get completely wiped out by weaknesses and criticals before you may get them in your rhythm.

If you’re getting stomped before you may suss out their weaknesses, use the Martial Artist Archetype’s Unyielding Blood to get a do-over.

Once per battle, any party member with Unyielding Blood will endure a fatal attack, healing back to full HP in the process.

It’s great for both regular monster research and toughing out boss fights.

Elemental Master Level 12

Halves MP cost of Synthesis. (Only applies to Syntheses that consume MP.)

Synthesis skills are a great way to deal large quantities of damage and exploit weaknesses you may otherwise not have the right skills for.

However, Synthesis can cost a fairly hefty sum of MP, and forall involved party membersat that.

If you’re using a lot of Synthesis skills, you’ll definitely want the Elemental Master Archetype’s Magic Link.

Magic Link halves the MP cost of Synthesis skills for the user, albeit only for Synthesis skills that actually cost MP.
