Mel Gibson revealed, “The other option that was open to me was a sort of auditioning for a drama school, which I did. I could tell jokes and stories and make stories up.” So he did, after one of his sisters reportedly recognized his immense talent and sent an application behind his back to the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art, deciding to take acting seriously.
