Both building and raiding outposts give you GenMat, so you’ll slowly level up your advisors as you play. However, this process can be a bit slow at times. Luckily, there are a few smart ways to speed up how quickly you acquire this wonder resource. Here’s how you can get more GenMat through both raiding and building.
Getting More GenMat Through Raiding
Raiding a base successfully, no matter how many attempts it takes, will reward you some GenMat.This will likely be the fastest way to get GenMat overall, but if you want to get tons in record time, you’ll need to change how you play and choose which outposts to visit carefully.
First, keep in mind thatyou can choose between three different difficulties of outposts: normal, dangerous, and brutal. These levels are determined by the number of traps, guards, and blocks in a given outpost, so they are guaranteed to get harder (or at least more complex) as you go up the difficulties. However, playing through harder outposts comes with a reward. Each level of difficulty roughly doubles the amount of GenMat you’ll receive for clearing the outpost.

You should keep this in mind andplay at a difficulty that you may clear fast enough to make it worthwhile. For example, if you can clear a dangerous outpost in less than half the time it takes you to clear a brutal one, you should be raiding those dangerous outposts to make the most GenMat for your time. On top of this, remember to play through the champion outposts whenever they are available. They are worth about a third more GenMat than their normal counterparts.
Finally, you should also show off yourspeedrunning skillsand try to raid the base as quickly as possible.Don’t be afraid to die a few times in order to figure out the traps faster, and remember to switch your loadout or use gear, like the grenades, to help you clear the outpost faster. If you’re looking to get as much GenMat as possible, you may even need to skip the occasional base or two. As a general rule of thumb, if a specific room or combination of traps makes you wonder how it can be possible, don’t try a few more times to figure it out. Just skip it.

Getting More GenMat Through Building
Building is the slower but surer way of getting genetic material. After all, your outposts can keep collecting GenMat while you’re offline, and the sky’s the limit in terms of how much they could get you.
The main way your outposts generate GenMat is through passively mining the Burial Site they’re built on. This will slowly deplete the available GenMat over a few hours, and after it’s done, your base will be deactivated. However, that’s not the only way they can harvest GenMat.
Outposts also give you a bit of GenMat every time you kill a raider in them, along with the normal Parts and Synthite. This means that the more popular and deadly your base is, the more GenMat it will collect while it’s online. To make your bases as deadly and as popular as possible, take a lesson from other outposts you’ve seen and enjoyed playing through.
Making these bases give you GenMat faster is fairly easy. Justremember to have five bases active at all times if you can,and reactivate them every time you play if they’ve run out of materials. Keep in mind that this will take alot of Synthiteto keep up with. verify you’re gathering and saving Synthite as much as possible, so you can prioritize reactivating your bases.
If this isn’t fast enough for you, you’re able to always prestige your outposts early to get all the passive GenMat remaining as a lump sum.The tradeoff with this method is that your base will have less total active time, meaning you have fewer chances to kill raiders and steal GenMat from them. While this can be a great way to get a ton of GenMat fast, if your outpost gets a fair few kills, it’s likely not worth it.
