Mashle: Magic and Musclesis a great show that takes the slapstick comedy of older anime (with some modern adjustments) and combines it with a cool plot, interesting characters, and a great premise. The anime has some of the best comedy in recent memory, though it can be a bit hit or miss at times.

Like any goodshonen anime, Mashle takes care to introduce cool villains belonging to cool organizations that are out to destroy the world. Some might consider the trope outdated, but there’s nothing quite likean evil megalomaniacwilling to do whatever it takes to make the world burn. One of this megalomaniac’s subordinates, Cell War, was introduced in thelast episode of the first season.
Appearance
Cell War is a double-lined magic user with one line on each of his cheeks. He usually wears a priest-like robe that’s purple in color. He sports a bowl cut (similar to Mash’s) for his yellow hair and wears a crown made of spikes. He also wears yellow earrings that look like extensions of his hair if you’re not paying close attention.
Cell has yellow-colored eyes and wears purple lipstick, continuing the stereotyping of characters with a non-binary or drag appearance being the villains in anime. His wand has a spiked appearance and a white handle.

Personality
Cell War is a sadistic man with a penchant for violence and little concern for consequences. He does everything in his power to follow the wishes of his creator, Innocent Zero. He takes joy in causing others pain and suffering and doesn’t feel any compassion for others, even people on his side, like the Magia Lupus.

He doesn’t see eye to eye with all of his comrades, but he ultimately follows the wishes of his creator despite his misgivings for some of the other members of Innocent Zero.
