Deadpool has taken over the officialMarvel’s Midnight SunsTwitteraccount! Along with making some colorful additions to the account’s banner, the character wrote, “DEADPOOL here! I have taken COMPLETE control of this channel until these nerds put me in their Midnight Suns game. let’s get messy…” Furthermore, a video was uploaded in which Deadpool complained about fan requests for other characters, notably Moon Knight, insisting that fans should be asking forhim, then attempting to start up a hashtag to promote his inclusion.

Though currently just a tease, this is everything short of a confirmation by the developers, Firaxis Games, that Deadpool is going to get added to the already star-studded cast of characters in Marvel’s Midnight Suns. Said cast includes beloved heroes such as Spider-Man, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Blade, Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, Captain America, and many more. The game’s officialYouTube channelhas had a series running for the past few months, in which they’ve shown off some of these heroes' abilities and gameplay styles, within the game’s card-based strategy combat.
The videos also show clips of another key selling point in Marvel’s Midnight Suns; the conversations. When in the heroes' home base, the player can sit down with any of the playable characters, and engage in conversations that can strengthen your bond with them and thus strengthen them in combat. A character like Deadpool is likely to bring interesting interactions, so many would probably enjoy his addition to the base game.
There was prior speculation that Deadpool would get left for the game’s post-launch DLC. The game has a Season Pass already being advertised, and its banner image, which you’re able to see on theXboxstorefronthere, shows off four different marks made to the golden wall background, which fans have taken to mean four different characters. The ones on the bottom left, bullet holes and a sideways cut, could be a reference to Deadpool’s guns and katanas.
However, given that the team is promoting him already, it’s possible plans have changed, and he’s to be added to the base game. Some may prefer this to be the case, as it’s currently unclear if DLC characters will have these interactive story moments or if they’ll only be usable in combat.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns releases on December 2, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
