Throughout your time inMarvel Rivals, you’ll come across three different types of currency. While all of these are used for various reasons, it’s likely Units will be the currency you use the most.

Units are considered Marvel Rival’s universal currency. You can spend Units to unlock new skins for your favorite heroes and purchase store bundles along with other individual cosmetic items.

Marvel Rivals Easy Swing

Unlike the Lattice currency, you’re unable to purchase Units with real money, forcing you to add to your inventory in other ways.

Marvel Rivals: How to Turn Off Easy Swing

Easy Swing is a setting you might not even know is on in Marvel Rivals, but it’s something you’ll want to test out.

Of course, while this is more work, this means Units are completely free to earn. We’ll go over all of the ways Units are earned in Marvel Rivals in the guide below.

Ways to Get More Units in Marvel Rivals

In total, there are three ways you can acquire Units in Marvel Rivals. All of the methods are free of charge, but you can also technically purchase Units using real money.

We’ll get into that and all the other ways to earn Units below.

Marvel Rivals Units

Complete Achievements

The first and most common way you’ll earn Units is by completing in-game Achievements.

You can navigate to theAchievements section of Marvel Rivalsby going to the main menu and clicking the present icon at the top-right of the screen. Here, scroll over to the Achievements tab and select the new present icon on each of the Achievement sections.

Marvel Rivals Factions

Currently, there are four Achievement sections, and completing more of the tasks in each section rewards you with Units along with other currencies and cosmetics. For example, one of the sections rewards you with 100 Units for every 40 Achievement Points you earn.

Marvel Rivals: How to Create and Join a Faction

Factions allow you to meet other players and join lobbies in Marvel Rivals easily, but how do you actually get into one?

You earn Achievement Points for progressing the tasks in each section. Once you’ve completed a task, you need to press the “Claim All” button to add the Achievement Points to your total. If you have enough for a reward, it will automatically be added to your account.

Marvel Rivals Units

As long as you play Marvel Rivals enough and use a variety of heroes, you’ll complete plenty of achievements. In turn, you’ll be rewarded with hundreds of Units that can be used to customize your favorite heroes.

Finish Battle Pass Tiers

The next way to earn Units is by completing specific tiers on the Battle Pass.

If you go to the “Season” tab in Marvel Rivals, you’ll see the current Battle Pass and the page you’re working on. Every page of the Battle Pass offers a set amount of Units if you unlock a specific tier.

Tiers are unlocked by earning and spending 200 Chrono Tokens, which is another form of currency. If you spend 200 Chrono Tokens to unlock a tier that offers Units, the Units are immediately added to your stack. The Luxury Battle Pass offers more units than the free version, but both offer the same currency.

While the Battle Pass doesn’t offer a ton of Units, they’re free to earn as long as you play enough to finish the pass in its entirety.

Marvel Rivals: All Free Skins & How To Unlock Them

Everyone loves free content and Marvel Rivals offers several unique skins for no cost at all.

So, if you want to maximize the Units you earn, try to finish the entire Battle Pass. In Season 0, the Battle Pass offers a total of 300 Units. This number should be increased in Season 1 as the pass will offer more tiers.

Convert Lattice

The final way to acquire Units is by converting your existing Lattice.

If you have previously purchased any Lattice in Marvel Rivals, you can convert it at a 1:1 ratio to Units. This means every one Lattice you have can be converted to a single Unit.

Lattice costs $1 per 100 of the currency, so if you want to buy astore bundlethat costs 2,000 Units, you may spend $20 on Lattice and convert it all to Units to purchase that bundle. It’s up to you whether or not it’s worth it to convert Lattice to Units.

Once you decide to convert the currency, it can’t be undone. You’re essentially buying one currency with real money to then turn around and spend it on another currency that’s able to purchase cosmetics.

To convert Lattice to Units, simply go to the main menu of Marvel Rivals and find the blue Units icon in the top-right of the screen.

Click the icon and a slider will appear on the screen. Change the slider to however many Lattice you want to convert, and then press the yellow button to complete the transfer.

Naturally, you’re able to only convert as much Lattice as you currently have in your inventory. If you want to purchase more Lattice to convert to Units, click the yellow coin icon in the top-right of the main menu.

This brings you to the Lattice page where you may purchase individual amounts of Lattice or larger bundles for more money.
