Let’s go over how to make your own custom matches.
Making Custom Games in Marvel Rivals
First, you’ll need to open up the play lobby inMarvel Rivals. You should know how to do this if you’ve played a game before, but just in case, we have you covered.
On the start screen, click the play button as indicated below.

Next, you’ll want to click the button that says “Quick Match.”
This is where you change your game mode, which is also indicated on the button, albeit in smaller, more transparent text.

This brings up all your available game mode options withinMarvel Rivals.
We’re looking for a Custom Game, so click that.
Welcome to the Custom Game mode! You can join other lobbies or create your own by clicking “create.”

Marvel Rivals Custom Game Options
Once you’ve made your own custom game inMarvel Rivals, you’ll have several options to customize your experience.
We’ll go over things in more detail, but here’s an overview if everything you can do:

Adding bots is as simple as clicking the “Add Bots” button. You can choose from an easy, normal, or hard difficulty level.
The room settings allow you to limit who is and isn’t to join the game with the Join Access menu. The same goes for spectating options. There is also the option to set ban/pick rules while playing in competitive modes.

On the bottom right, you’ll see the game mode and map. Click on the map icon to pull up the map settings menu. From here, you may select which maps to view, whether just one, a handful, or all available maps.
you may also set your gameplay preferences between Quick Match, Competitive play, and the Arcade mode, which is essentially Team Deathmatch. You can also set ban/pick rules while playing competitive modes to make things more serious.
If you want a private room, click room settings, check the “lock room” box, and enter a password. Other players can only join the room if they enter your chosen password.
Once you’re ready to go, click the yellow start button in the lobby and get playing!
How to Invite Friends to Custom Games
Custom games can be a great way to play with friends inMarvel Rivalswhile limiting your interactions to strictly people you know. Whether you’re looking for intimate gaming sessions or want to mess around with each other against bots, Custom Games is here for you.
First, you need to get a friend. It’s harder than it looks, as I only have two.
Once you’ve hosted a lobby, click on the friends icon at the top right of your screen, as indicated below.
From there, right click their name and select “invite” to invite them to your Custom Game!
