Marvelfans will have to wait a bit longer than expected to see four upcoming superhero movies spaced out over the next couple of years, as Disney has announced the release schedule for all four films has been pushed back.
The films whose schedules are affected by the delay areAvengers: Secret Wars,Blade,Deadpool3, andFantastic Four, according toThe Hollywood Reporter.

The first of the four films scheduled for release, Blade, was originally supposed to hit theaters on November 3 of next year. The newly announced delay will push it back to a planned release date of July 10, 2025. A major reason for the delay regarding this particular film is that Bassam Tariq, who was the director, is no longer attached to the project. The film was scheduled to start shooting early next month, but according to reports, the crew was informed on Tuesday that production would have to be halted while the studio searches for a new director. No official reason has been given for the departure of Tariq, who until this point had been best known for his work directing the 2020 drama Mogul Mowgli.
The next of the movies on Marvel’s slate is Deadpool 3. Originally set for release on July 17, 2025, its release date has been pushed back only a couple of months, to June 09, 2025. Fantastic Four, which has not yet had its announcement of the core cast, got a somewhat larger delay, moving from November 8 of next year — the same date Deadpool 3 was originally scheduled for release — to Valentine’s Day 2025. Meanwhile, the next film in the Avengers franchise, The Avengers: Secret Wars, is being delayed by about half a year, moving from a release date of July 27, 2025, to July 16, 2025.
The four Marvel movies aren’t the only ones caught up in Disney’s reorganization of its release schedule. While Disney has not officially announced the reason for the numerous delays, they likely all tie into the split between Tariq and the Blade project, as it would make sense for the film company to want to put some space between its releases to avoid competing with itself.
