Now,Mafia 2 Definitive Editionis being listed by some official video game rating systems around the world, includingTaiwanandSouth Korea.
Originally released back in 2010,Mafia 2was the last title of the series that received huge applause from fans and media. Following the story of an Italian young man Vito Scaletta,Mafia 2brings a mixture of crime and drama in the 1950s where Vito finds himself and his family deep in the debts of his dead father. Best know for its mesmerizing narrative, you start getting involved in organized crimes directed by different mafia families in the game.
For the fans of the franchise, nothing would be better than getting remasters for the first two entries. While remastering or remaking the first installment of theMafiaseries doesn’t seem feasible,the return ofMafia 2 Definitive Editionto current-gen platformswith a graphical tweak would likely be happening sooner or later.
National video game rating committees in both Taiwan and South Korea have rated the Definitive Edition ofMafia 2recently. While nothing has been officially revealed, if it turns out to be an existing game, more than likely, it would be a remaster of the original game with all the expansions. However, Taiwan’s committee has ratedMafia 3 Definitive Editionas well, which seems a little bit mysterious. Currently,Mafia 3 Deluxe Editionis available with all the post-launch DLCs, so the Definitive Edition might feature some graphical enhancements, regarding the fact thatMafia 3was mostly blamed for its technical issues and outdated visuals.
Mafia 3developer, Hanger 13, is now hiring for a new open-world IP, and according to Take-Two Interactive, they will announce their next project in the coming months.
