As the long-awaited follow-up to the 2017 original, the upcomingLittle Nightmares 2seems to be upping the ante on what made the first game so memorable and striking. Specifically, the new trailer provided a deeper look at its gameplay, which showcases the creepy new environments and enemies that players will have to face in the title.

The sequel by developer Tarsier Studios wasfirst revealed at least year’s Gamescom Opening Night Liveand was originally scheduled to release sometime in 2020. However, the game was pushed back to early 2021, and is confirmed to be arriving for consoles and PC. Additionally, the new trailer also confirmed that the game will be heading to PS5 and Xbox Series X sometime later in 2021.

Like its predecessor, the sequel will have players trying to avoid a series of horrific monsters and creatures in a world vastly larger than its protagonists. Picking up where the original left off,Little Nightmares 2will feature Six as she encounters the new playable character, a boy named Mono, as they work their way towards reaching the Black Tower and stopping unspeakable new horrors from emerging.

As a fan of the original game, the gameplay footage for its sequel seems incredibly promising, and we won’t have too much longer to wait before it arrives in February.

Little Nightmares 2will release for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on August 25, 2025. The game will also be arriving later in 2021 for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
