Life Is Strange: 10 Best Characters In The Series, Ranked

Life is strange, but these great characters make it all that much easier to handle.

This puzzle box, in particular, has two layers, and Max must solve both of them in two consecutive chapters if she needs to solve the mystery behind it.

Thankfully, we’ve put together a brief guide that’ll help you peel those layers off the box in no time flat to get the trophy/achievement and whatever possible interaction comes from it.

Location Of The Abraxas Puzzle Box

you’re able to find the Abraxas puzzle box towards theend of the first chapterwhen Max receives a call from Yasmin to meet her in her office.

Specifically, you can spot Reggie on the left patio bench toying with the puzzle box as soon as the scene begins, with Max arriving at the North Quad of the University.

PC-1

Getting close to Reggie will automatically trigger a scene with him frustratingly throwing the box to the ground, allowing you to then interact with it.

Pick up the box and talk to Reggie for an explanation of how this Abraxas box seemingly has some goodies tucked away inside it and how it’s meant to be a secret test on one of their key virtues.

After that, you can enter examine mode to try solving the first part of the box.

Solving The First Part Of The Box

Believe it or not, the first layer of the Abraxas puzzle box is pretty easy to crack open by yourself as long as you pay attention to what Max says about each side of the cube.

This box has three different faces that you caninteract with: The Founder, The Eye, and The Crow.

Xbox-1

Although the eye isn’t anything meaningful aside from a small detail, the main faces here are of The Founder, AKA the statue of Thomas Caledon, and the Crow.

This is thesame statue in front of the university building’s entrance, and if you look closely at it, it has two crows on Thomas Caledon’s shoulders, and the face on the box only has one.

Upon rotating the box to the crow’s face and examining it, Max will note that it has wax around it, triggering a cutscene where Reggie uses his lighter to melt it.

This will drop amedallion with a crowon it.

Now, with that in hand, simply slot that medallion onto the Founder’s empty shoulder on the box to unlock it.

And your reward? Well, it’s another box, the second and last layer of this puzzle, to be exact.

Reggie surrenders the second box to you, but you cansolve it later in Chapter 2.

Solving The Second Part Of The Box

If all this time you’re someone who enjoys somewhat complexpuzzle games, well, you’re in luck because the second half of the Abraxas puzzle box gets slightly complicated.

you’re able to solve the last layer of the puzzle box towards theend of Chapter 2 in Max’s residence, right when Moses visits to check out Safi’s Camera with you in the dark room.

The box is on the kitchen countertop here, so do it before heading downstairs, as it is the last scenario of the chapter.

Now, while you can interact with almost all sides, remember the Sense of Justice’s face as it’s the clue to solving this layer of the puzzle.

Like last time, you need to pay attention to only a few of the box’s sides here.

Those two faces areThe Constellation and a side with a dial almost resembling the Abraxas society logo.

Starting with the Constellation, upon interacting, you need to move 4different stars in each columnto create a constellation’s points.

The straight-up answer here is that the Sense of Justice face clearly indicates the Libra constellation, so those stars need to be aligned to recreate its constellation.

We’ve also marked how to recreate it in the images in case you need a visual reference.

If done successfully, you’ll unlock a dial that, if you remember, looks like the Abraxas face logo we saw previously.

Rotate the puzzle box back on that face, and you should be able to attach your new disc on top of that one.

Now, to quickly solve this one, ignore the outer ring you just placed and switch to the inner one, turn it to the right two timesand this should unlock the lid of the box.

Remove the lid to acquire your possible acceptance gift from the Abraxas Society, a commemorative pin, and the"Thinking Outside the Box"trophy/achievement.

Later in Chapter 3, you can also receive a text messagefrom an anonymous member of society congratulating you on solving the puzzle box.

It doesn’t end there, though; you’ll also get noticed by a couple ofAbraxas kidsagain in Chapter 4 of the Living Timeline at the Krampus party in the Snapping Turtle Bar, which, of course, Max isn’t too overjoyed about.
