While the police statementdid notname the man as Payne,TMZreported that the singer had been acting“erratic”in the lobby and even smashed his laptop. According to the report, Payne had to be carried back to his room.
Payne’s death feels like a personal loss since many of us have practically grown up with him and the others in One Direction. It is almost as if we are living in a nightmare, waiting for someone to shake us awake.
The fact that Payne was happily posting on his social media just minutes before his death somehow makes the entire situation even more unsettling. Honestly, using past tense for him breaks our hearts into a million tiny pieces.
