With the release of LEGO Horizon Adventures, a new Horizon game with an easily-guessable theme, people were more-or-less expecting exactly what’s been revealed today.
Horizon: Zero Dawn has already gotten the LEGO treatment, withthe Tallneck setreleased a couple of years ago. There’s been interest in more, and with a game like this fresh in everyone’s mind, it felt like a matter of If, not When.

But there’s something different about this set. Not only in the quantity of robotic beasties, but also in the target audience.
This isn’t like the Tallneck set - an immaculate display piece meant to be admired from afar. LEGO Horizon Adventures targetsa younger demographic, and so, this tie-in set does the same.

Horizon 2 Forbidden West Tallneck Lego Set Includes an Aloy Mini-figure
This is beautiful!
This is a playset - still able to get that distant admiration but focused on being fun for kids. It cares more about being affordable and durable than being beautiful.
As listed on thePlayStation Blog, you can pre-order the set starting today, but it won’t be home in time for Christmas. It will be officially released in March 2025.

First-Party Title LEGO Horizon Adventures Doesn’t Have PS5 Pro Mode Available At Launch
LEGO Horizon Adventures, a first-party PlayStation game, doesn’t have PS5 Pro support available at launch.
The set comes with 768 pieces, and that’ll let you build the Shell-Walker and the Sawtooth, along with mini-figures of Aloy and Varl and some extra scenery.

The figures here are designed to move as a playset. Both the Shell-Walker and the Sawtooth have plenty of articulation.
And while their weapons - their “trusty bow and spear capable of producing fire, shock or chill attacks” - probably can’t do any of those things in real life, they aim to provide no shortage of imagination fuel.

Aloy’s Blocky New Horizon
It’s no secret that LEGO Horizon Adventures has had an alright reception with fans. It’s a modern LEGO game, first and foremost - great for kids, kids-at-heart, and lukewarm for adults.
The game does what it says on the tin, and this set follows a similar policy. If you like the game, you’ll probably like the set - and that street runs both ways.
Considering the recent release ofHorizon: Zero Dawn Remastered, those who want a few more polygons on their robo-dinosaurs aren’t starved for new material - but a change of pace will always have its growing pains.
I Love Horizon Zero Dawn, But Does It Really Need A Remake?
A remake or remaster hasn’t been confirmed for Horizon Zero Dawn, but the rumors surrounding it make me wonder if it’s even necessary.
