With the big Season 4 Reloaded update right around the corner, data miners and leakers have dug into the new game files and discovered the possibility of planes arriving inWarzone.
With theCall of Duty: VanguardReveal Event likely happening inside ofWarzonevery soon, it could be that the planes are part of the event.
Leaks Reveal Planes Coming ToWarzone
CredibleCall of Dutyleaker,ZestyCODLeaks, revealed on Twitter the news that planes may soon be arriving inWarzone.
Zesty took to Twitter to show fans that inside of a script file for the upcoming Payload mode, there appears to be a file with the words “PLANE_VEHICLE”.
The leaker did go on to point out that it could just be for A.I Planes and not as a form of vehicle that could be piloted by players. However, in a follow-up tweet, Zesty revealed that a new option under ‘Invert Vertical Look’ was added to the game’s settings.
In the image found below, the new option appears to state ‘Airplanes Only’ when changing the invert vertical look setting.
Some fans were quick to point out that this is likely either for the newWarzonemap that will arrive withCall of Duty: Vanguard, or could even be part of an upcoming reveal event for the 2021 title.
Call of Duty:VanguardReveal Event
Activision hasn’t announced that there will be a reveal event forCall of Duty: Vanguardinside ofWarzone, but it seems likely considering there was one in 2020 forBlack Ops Cold War.
Back in August of 2020,Warzoneplayers were treated to a new event titled “Know Your History”. This was the official reveal event forBlack Ops Cold Warand required players to complete various tasks such as collecting codes before a warning message forced players to take shelter inside of Stadium. Once players had reached Stadium, a reveal trailer forBlack Ops Cold Warthen began to play.
It’s highly likely that an event similar to this is going to occur for the reveal ofCall of Duty: Vanguard, especially considering the title will be integrating withWarzonefor another year.
Zesty previously revealedthat a major event would be happening inside ofWarzonesoon. The leaker revealed information on game files called ‘X2’, and notably pointed out that theBlack Ops Cold WarReveal Event files were titled ‘X1’.
They also go on to note that there will be a cutscene after the event, which is titled ‘scr_x2_duration_fade_out_movie’. This cutscene is likely to be the reveal trailer forCall of Duty: Vanguard.
So, it could just be that the planes are either part of the rumoured event, or will be usable whenVanguardbecomes integrated withWarzoneon release.
