As the preseason rolls on,Riot Gameshas been detailing and releasing micro-patches to fix glaring problems in the rapidly developing meta. The upcoming patch 12.22b seeks to buff some jungle picks that have fallen out of favour, and tone down Ravenous Hydra which has become a staple build on powerful top laners like Fiora and Camille. The exact buffs have yet to be announced, but balance team lead Riot Phroxzon gave some additional details in aseries of tweets.RELATED:Riot Games To Launch New League Of Legends Eternals Series Later Today“Tank mythics aren’t always intended to be rushed, e.g Radiant Virtue and Jak’Sho (these are good second). We are buffing besieged tanks and champions with specific jungle optimisations (Kindred and Ivern)” Phroxzon shared. He continued “Tank item philosophy, it’s intended that players can flexibly purchase mythics first and second depending on the game. Sometimes it’s right to buy Sunfire and then your mythic, and sometimes your mythic and Sunfire. We don’t want to force tanks to buy Sunfire every game for wave clear.”“However, we want to keep it as an option if you want to do so. We’re waiting to assess the balance of all the items in the tank system with more games and then we’ll reshape individual champions accordingly, e.g if they need more or less wave clear, how much wave clear pets should give, etc,” he concluded.
According to the infographic accompanying Phroxzon’s tweet, the champions receiving buffs are junglers, these are Ivern, Kindred, Amumu, Maokai, Rammus and Shaco. The tank mythics being buffed are Jak’Sho and Radiant Virtue, and the mage mythic Rod of Ages is also receiving a buff.

As the preseason continues, it would appear tank champions are benefitting greatly from the new items. Meanwhile, many in the community appear to be displeased with the significant jungle changes. Only time will tell how the game’s balance looks going into Season 2023.
There is no exact release time for patch 12.22b as Riot ships micro-patches as soon as they are ready.
