The protagonist ofJujutsu KaisenYuji Itadori has shown exceptional skills and abilities from the start. Not only does he have insane physical abilities, but he is also able to learn hardcore cursed energy techniques like Black Flash in a day. However, the Innate technique of the character has not been shown yet in the series.

Yuji Itadori

The question of “What is Yuji Itadori’s Innate technique?” has become one of the biggest mysteries of the entire series. Almost every character’s innate technique has been shown in the series except for Yuji Itadori. And fans can’t wait to learn about his cursed technique as the protagonist, his innate technique is bound to be one of the strongest in the series.

However, a small hint from a chapter of the manga may have already given up the answer to the mystery behind Yuji Itadori’s innate technique. According to this hint, Yuji possesses a godlike ability that could allow him to swap souls with others and give him authority over their bodies and thus, over their innate technique.

What is an Innate Technique inJujutsu Kaisen?

An innate technique is a special talent that is frequently inherited and passed down through family members. It enables the user to exorcise strong, cursed spirits and gives them a stronger version of the previous technique.

The majority of jujutsu practitioners are born with an innate skill that first appears when they are five or six years old and gradually chisels its formula into their body. Limitless and Six Eyes from the Gojo family, Ten Shadows from the Zenin family, Blood Manipulation from the Kamo family, and many more are a few examples of these.

Eighty percent of a sorcerer’s intrinsic skillset consists of innate techniques, which are proprietary and cannot be duplicated in most scenarios. These skills are ingrained in the user’s body from birth, more especially in the right prefrontal cortex. Yuji Itadori is among the few characters whose Innate technique has not been officially revealed in the series. However, one theory confirms that Yuji Itadori’s innate technique could help him swap souls.

Theory Suggests Yuji Itadori Can Swap Souls Using His Innate Technique

Jujutsu KaisenChapter 222 provides compelling evidence in favor of the theory that Yuji Itadori’s Innate Cursed Technique is a soul-swapping technique. Yuji is shown practicing hand-to-hand combat in Chapter 222 with Atsuya Kusakabe, a second-year teacher at Jujutsu High. Similar to Yuji, Kusakabe lacks innate technique.

Kusakabe is thrown to the ground by Yuji, who speaks in a completely uncharacteristic manner, adding, “Master it already, Itadori.” What’s interesting is that Kusakabe’s answer is a quintessential Yuji slang phrase. The mentor responded, “Osu,” which the protagonist often says when he or she is told to master whatever it is they’re doing. The only possible explanation for this interaction is the switch of bodies between Yuji and Kusakabe.

Another theory that supports this notion is that innate techniques are usually inherited and passed down. As it was already revealed that Kenjaku who can swap bodies became Yuji’s mother, Yuji might have inherited the next level of Kenjaku’s innate technique which allowed him to swap souls.
