Since the beginning ofJujutsu Kaisen’ssecond season, many characters have sadly met their demise. The battles in the series have been incredibly intense and exceeded our expectations, but the losses have been equally painful to witness.

The constant fear of losing such compelling characters is hard to bear for fans. Jogo And His Fiery Powers Vs. Maki
The battle between Dagon and the Sorcerers takes a dramatic twist as Toji Fushiguro enters Dagon’s Domain, appearing ghostly and more menacing than ever. Toji’s instincts tell him to fight the strongest one around, so he naturally picks up Dagon for a fight; although it wouldn’t be fair to call it a fight, it was a one-sided massacre. Toji mercilessly butchered Dogon in his own Domain. After Dagon’s downfall, they exited his Domain only to find Jogo waiting for them.
Realizing Dagon was dead, Jogo mourned his death and pledged to take revenge on him. Already tired from the battle with Dagon, the Sorcerers were left with no energy to fight a new Curse, and within a split second,Jogo used his fiery powers to incinerate Nanami and Maki in an instant.Although she wasn’t revealed to be dead, not even a hint was left of Maki’s survival either.This has led fans to ask, is Maki still alive?
Is Maki Zenin Dead?
Fortunately, it’s not the end for Maki Zenin yet.Although Jogo’s attacks proved to be really harsh for her, she managed to survive his fire blast.The credit for Maki’s survival goes to her incredible physique, which far surpasses normal humans, and allows her to take deadly attacks head-on.Maki lacks Cursed Energy, and just like Mechamaru and Toji, she has Heavenly Restriction, which gives her this supernatural strength. If it wasn’t for her Heavenly Restriction, this would certainly be an end for her.
Nonetheless, Maki didn’t emerge unscathed from the assault. She suffered severe burns, resulting in significant scars on her hands and face. Her appearance will also undergo a change as she sports shorter hair upon her return. As the series progresses, Maki’s looks will alter considerably, and her powers will enhance too, reaching the level of Toji Fushiguro or even exceeding him.
Currently, the manga of Jujutsu Kaisen is running in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc, and Maki Zenin is alive and kicking, killing the Curses with her remarkable physical abilities. Although she has been on the verge of death multiple times, she makes it out alive every time, and we hope to see her doing well until the series concludes.
