When Joe Rogan questioned President Joe Biden’s apparent cognitive decline in a recent episode of his well-liked podcast,The Joe Rogan Experience, he got brutally fact-checked.As it happens, he misconstrued a speech made by Biden and mistakenly claimed that it was the president’s own words. The contentious podcaster was then given an on-camera fact check, ostensibly by one of his producers, Jamie Vernon.

During a Thursday Spotify release of an episode ofThe Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan implied that Biden was mentally unsuited to hold public office. In an interview with mixed martial arts fighter Bo Nickal, Rogan mentioned that some people now regret choosing to support Biden in 2020. Subsequently, the pair criticized the 81-year-old president’s mental state and made fun of him for his speech in which he mentioned that the lack of airports was the reason why the Revolutionary War was lost.
However, Vernon then clarified, showing that Biden was really paraphrasing a statement made by Donald Trump.

Joe Rogan Admits Donald Trump’s Mistake Upon Being Fact-Checked after Dissing Joe Biden
In the episode ofThe Joe Rogan Experience, that aired on December 21,Joe Roganstated thatJoe Biden‘s recent remarks disqualify him from seeking reelection in 2024. According to Rogan, 56, people who support Biden might be thinking,
“What did I do? What did I choose?”

Mixed martial arts fighter Bo Nickal, 27, who was his guest, answered,
“You just can’t listen to an interview [with Biden] where he’s saying some of the things he’s saying, it makes no sense at all.”

Next, according to Rogan, Biden asserted that“we did not have enough airports” to be the reason America“lost” the Revolutionary War. Nickal chuckled and uttered,

“Yeah, what the hell? It’s crazy.”
As Rogan said,
“If you had any other job, and you were talking like that, they would go, ‘Hey, you’re done.’”
The issue was that Trump used the Revolutionary War and airports in his earlier remarks. Producer Jamie Vernon ofThe Joe Rogan Experienceinterrupted shortly after the exchange to correct Rogan. After that, he screened a video clip fromPresident Donald Trump’s Salute to America speech on July 21, 2025, during which he praised the American military for their efforts against Great Britain.
During the speech, Trump said,
“Our army manned the air, it rammed the ramparts, it took over the airports, it did everything it had to do, and at Fort McHenry, under the rockets’ red glare, it had nothing but victory.”
Rogan replied to that by saying,
“Oh, so [Trump] f*cked up.”
Meanwhile, Nickal remarked,
“That’s the thing about media these days. You gotta look into it.”
That seems to be really awkward.

Fact Check: Joe Biden Remarking on Donald Trump’s Comments
Joe Biden made a variation of that statement. That was, however, back in 2020, and he was voicing his disapproval of Donald Trump for confusing his wars in a 2019 speech by implying that the forces of George Washington had taken control of airports (viaAP News). (When George Washington lived, there were no airports. Later, Trump claimed that a teleprompter malfunction was to blame for the mistake.
“The teleprompter went out. Right in the middle of that sentence it went out. I knew the speech very well so I was able to do it without a teleprompter.”
In 2021, theAssociated Pressreleased a fact check on the subject following the viral success of a misleadingly edited video clip featuring Joe Biden’s comments. Absence of context: Biden was heard alluding to remarks made by former President (Donald Trump) in a video clip from a campaign rally in Tampa, Florida, in October 2020.
A few minutes into Joe Rogan and his guest’s conversation, an off-camera voice interrupted to inquire,
“Is this the video you were talking about?”
After Biden’s speech was shown in clip form, Rogan said,
“Yeah, that’s it.”
Well, fact-checking should be the cornerstone of any conversation in order to protect democratic processes and empower us to make informed choices. In an age when false information is widely disseminated, it is critical to remember the adage ‘Facts do not care about your feelings’.
