After hostingSurvivorfor more than 20 years, Jeff Probst has become almost synonymous with the show. He has played an important role in keeping the show popular, but as time passes, the reality is that he won’t be able to host forever. The host is currently 63 years old and has always maintained a healthy and active lifestyle. But the demanding job of hostingSurvivor, especially in harsh conditions like the hot and challenging climates takes a physical toll.

So, the big question is who will step in to fill Jeff Probst’s shoes when the time comes for him to step down? One name that keeps coming up is Andrea Boehlke, a familiar face toSurvivorfans.
Could Andrea Boehlke replace Jeff Probst as host ofSurvivor?
Andrea Boehlke is not only a three-time player ofSurvivor, but has valuable experience in front of the camera, making her a strong candidate to become the first female host ofSurvivor. She first appeared onSurvivor: Redemption Islandas part of Boston Rob’s Stealth R Us alliance. Over time, her gameplay grew stronger, and she proved she could play the game with both strategy and physical skill.
In her subsequent appearances onSurvivor: CaramoanandSurvivor: Game Changers, Boehlke showcased her ability to play the game at a high level, earning her a spot as one of the best players to never win. Although she was often blindsided because of her strong performance in challenges and strategy (making her a threat to others) she always managed to return with more experience and determination.

But her connection toSurvivorgoes beyond her time as a contestant. She’s also worked as a TV host and co-hostedPeople Now, a TV show fromPeoplemagazine. She also has a natural ability to connect with the audience, making her feel approachable and relatable.
Her background as a host, combined with her deep knowledge ofSurvivor, makes her a strong contender for the role of host when Probst eventually steps down. This highlights her unique position as someone who not only knows the game inside and out but also has the on-camera experience needed for the role.

Why did Jeff Probst risk it all with peanut butter onSurvivor47?
DuringSurvivor47, Jeff Probst shared an unexpected moment that caught the attention of fans. The scene took place during the show’s iconic auction, where three contestants Sierra Wright, Caroline Vidmar, and Gabe Ortis eagerly dug into a giant bowl of peanut butter and chocolate. The contestants had been without showers for several days, making the food anything but hygienic.
But what came next was even more surprising. After the auction ended, the camera cut back to Probst standing near the half-eaten bowl. In a shocking move, he dipped hispinky finger into the peanut butter, which had been touched by the contestants, and licked it off, seemingly without a second thought.

Later, during an episode ofOn Fire, his cohost, Jay Wolff, asked if that peanut butter was indeed the same one the contestants had just used, given the unsanitary conditions. Probst responded humorously, acknowledging that it was indeed the same peanut butter. He said:
Thank you for noticing. Yes, it was! I did that casting call less than one minute after the players left. That was Jada’s idea. She produces those.

Probst jokingly added that he’s willing to go to great lengths for the show, even risking potential infections, just to encourage future players to apply forSurvivor. This moment truly highlighted Jeff Probst’s commitment to the show, demonstrating his willingness to do almost anything even take a risk with peanut butter to keep theSurvivorexperience engaging for both contestants and viewers alike.
