Black Cloveris an extremely popular Shonen anime and people can barely complain about it. Yuki Tabata’s intriguing manga has been adapted into an apt anime, and none can oppose it. Of course, some minor issues will always be pointed out, but overall, it is a great series.

Another extremely well-known series,One Piece, will be receiving a remake anime, and fans are extremely happy about it. This made people question if any other series needs a remake as well, and in this context, the nameBlack Clovercame up. However, fans were quick to shoot down the idea.
Why isOne PieceReceiving a Remake?
Before diving into whyBlack Cloverdoes not need a remake, you first need to understand whyOne Piecerequires one.One Pieceis a massive franchise and it is still growing. It has already received more than 1000 episodes, and the anime hasn’t even begun to adapt the most recent arc of the manga.
There are several reasons whyOne Piecerequires a remake, and one of them is the pacing issue of the show. Many fans claim that the anime moves at a snail’s pace, which often bores newcomers to the franchise. While these episodes are packed with information, adapting a few pages in an entire episode can get people tired.

Another issue is the 4:3 aspect ratio of the anime. TheOne Pieceanime debuted in 1999 and thus was created based on the standards of that time. The first 204 episodes ofOne Pieceare thus in the 4:3 screen size ratio, while the later episodes show it in widescreen mode. The watching experience can be infinitely improved if only the screen size ratio of the earlier episodes is fixed.
WIT Studio’s Track Record with Attack on Titan and Vinland Saga Could Become the One Piece Remake’s Biggest Problem
Another purpose of the remake isto make it more digestibleto fans and newcomers to the series. Concentrating the storyline is bound to pushOne Pieceto greater stardom.
Why Yuki Tabata’sBlack CloverDoesn’t Need a Remake
After WIT Studio’s announcement of theOne Pieceremake, otakus began to speculate whichother series might benefitfrom a remake. Thus,Black Cloverwas brought up as a potential candidate, but fans are vehemently against the decision.
One of the reasonsOne Pieceis receiving a remake is due to its unbelievable length. WhereasBlack Cloverhas only received 170 episodes so far. While it is undoubtedly longer than most seasonal anime, it is by no means comparable to a 1000+ episode series. In fact, the pacing ofBlack Cloveris just perfect, if not extremely fast. Only the first few episodes of the series are a bit slow.

The current adaption of the manga isn’t a perfect 10/10 but it does not stray far from the original story. In fact,Yuki Tabatacould have allowed the anime to continue with filler arcs while he created more chapters, but he didn’t, and thus, the anime is on a hiatus rather than following the infamous path laid down byBoruto.
Remaking the anime nowmight also hurt the series furtheras fans already know the plot, and further shortening it would profit no one. WhatBlack Cloverneeds at the moment is a continued adaptation or a sequel season, not a complete overhaul.
