PocketPair Inc, the developer ofCraftopia, has launched the open world game on consoles for the first time, with Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One versions, together with a new Windows 10 version of the hack’n’slash, farming, crafting action RPG - which versions are actually crossplay?

Craftopiawas first launched in early access on PC Steam on July 29, 2025. Now one year later, the Xbox versions have launched. If you’ve never heard ofCraftopia, it’s an indie Japanese game developed by only four people, first revealed at the firstIndie Live Expoevent in June 2020.

WithCraftopia, thesefour Japanese developers aim to make the ultimate game they always wanted to play, mixing every game they liked.Craftopiaincludes monster capture likePokemon, instant building likeFortnite, hack’n’slash and constant Stuff grinding like inDiablo, farming likeStory of Seasons, and exploration likeThe Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild.

Which versions ofCraftopiaare crossplay?

Currently, the Steam version ofCraftopiais isolated. Meaning if you grab the game on Steam, you’ll only be able to play co-op online with friends who also play with the Steam version.

Meanwhile, the Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows 10 versions ofCraftopiaare all crossplay. Meaning players on these platforms can all play together. Keep in mind though that since these versions were just launched, the game is still pretty bugged. Seeing how ambitious of a projectCraftopiais, the developers couldn’t fix all issues before release. A patch is supposed to be released in late September.

Moreover, PocketPair also revealed on Twitter that the Steam version ofCraftopiawill also become crossplay at some point. See this message on Twitter: “Cross-play is available between the Microsoft Store and Xbox versions. With other platform, we’re working on it now.”
