Amidst all the chaos, gamers have found another reason to hate on the game. A player created a poll on theAssassin’s Creed Shadowssubreddit, asking fans to share their opinions on the game’s graphics. Judging by the results so far, it seems like fans believe Ubisoft could’ve done much better.

A poll on the r/AssassinsCreedShadows asked fans to share their opinions onAssassin’s Creed Shadows‘ Graphics. At the time of writing, most votes are for the option that says impressive but there’s room for improvement.
Roughly 35% of the people voted for Impressed, 29% voted for Neutral, 13% voted for Disappointed, 14% voted for Very Disappointed, and finally, 9% voted for Very Impressed.

One of the game’s two protagonists, Yasuke, is inspired by an African samurai of the same name, however, his depiction in the game has been criticised.

A petition was filed onChange.orgin June to cancelAssassin’s Creed Shadowsbecause the depiction of Yasuke is inaccurate and disrespects the Japanese culture. At the moment, the petition has crossed 90,000 signatures.
At the Japan Expo in Paris, Ubisoft revealed some merchandise and there was one item that caught everyone’s attention: Yasuke’s katana. People on social media pointed out thatthe katana’s design is copiedfromOne Piece‘s Roronoa Zoro’s Sandai Kitetsu.

The consequences of this were clear asAssassin’s Creed Shadows‘ booth at the Japan Expo was visibly empty, in fact, many people sitting there only used the spot to rest or to watch Nintendo’s presentations, which was on the other side.
