Nordic Ashes: Survivors of Ragnarok is a Viking-themed roguelite/survivor developed by Noxfall Studios that was released in early access in late 2022.
Following its full release on April 26, Nordic Ashes has achieved anew peak player count(3,333), the highest number of concurrent players the game has had since January 2023.
Ragnarok Awaits
Nordic Ashes is a hack-and-slash inspired by Norse mythology; you fight through hordes of enemies through several maps, upgrading your character as you play. There are multiple difficulties, cross-run progression and all of those good roguelite features you’d expect.
The game features over 10 characters, each with different playstyles, and relics you acquire during runs that allow you to tweak your builds. It should go without saying that the latter feature offers Nordic Ashes significant replayability.

The full release of Nordic Ashes: Survivors of Ragnarok has plenty of new features for players to be excited about. For instance, there are new character masteries, a progression feature that allows your survivor to upgrade between runs, two new difficulty modes and a secret new character called Kaos.
Nordic Ashes is already proving a massive success just three days after release, with the aforementioned new concurrent player peak and also, a ‘Very Positive’ recent review score on Steam.
“This is my favourite traditional-style bullet heaven game to date,”one review reads. Considering the massive popularity of titles like Vampire Survivors, that is high praise.
