Following its release on the PlayStation 5 earlier this year, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is making its way toNintendo’s newest console.
As announced during gamescom 2025’s Opening Night Live, the acclaimed action-adventure is making its way to the Switch 2 in 2026.

The news comes during a year that has seen several first-party Xbox games released on the PS5. Forza Horizon 5 came out for Sony’s console this Spring, andGears of War: Reloadedwill launch on the same day for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Bringing Xbox games to other platforms has been a strategy of Phil Spencer’s for quite some time. “To keep games on platforms, that’s not a path for us. It doesn’t work for us,“he’s said on the matter.

Indiana Jones Is The First Xbox Game To Release On A Nintendo Console
Earlier this year, we reported that first-party Xbox games are expected to release on the Nintendo Switch 2 later this year. It turns out that we were just a year off in this regard, but it raises the question: how many more Xbox games will be making their way to the Switch 2?
Whether or not the Nintendo Switch 2 sees Gears of War: Reloaded remains to be seen. Beyond that, though? There are plenty of options available, such as Forza Horizon 5 and Sea of Thieves.
The same could be said about select Sony first-party games as well.A recent job listingis looking for someone who “will play a critical leadership role in shaping and executing the global commercial strategy for PlayStation Studios software titles across all digital platforms beyond PlayStation hardware, including Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, Nintendo, and mobile.”
We’ll see if Indiana Jones and the Great Circle starts a trend for the Switch 2 to host first-party games from Sony and Microsoft. Nintendo, meanwhile, seems content to stick with console exclusives.
