Republican Donald Trump is currently doing everything in his power to get on the public’s good side now that the 2024 United States presidential elections are right around the corner. This includes him even managing to dodge a bullet before standing up bravely during a failed assassination attempt pulled during his rally in Butler, PA, earlier this year.
Of course, this stunt had quite a lot of people heaping praise on him for acting so bravely when he was being targeted. And, as it turns out, this list of admirers included Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as well. Apparently, as per Trump’s own claims, the 78-year-old politician got the most shocking call from the Rock after being shot in the ear.
Donald Trump Got a Call From The Rock After His Assassination Attempt
To promote himself and get more and more in the public eye,Donald Trumpis trying to do everything he can, even though quite a lot of major celebrities – especially from Hollywood – have chosen to vote for his opponent. For the same purpose, to get back on everyone’s good side and boost his image, the Republican has been appearing in quite a few interviews too.
His recent one was an appearance onSix Feet Under with Mark Calaway, where he shared the story of how the Rock, apparently, called him up following the assassination attempt pulled against him earlier this year. As per the story Trump shared:
Dana White said, when I was shot — Took a shot to the ear, you may have heard about it! — Rock called Dana and said, ‘I want to have his number. I want to have his number. What he did is sort of incredible.’
For those who may be unversed, during his rally in Pennsylvania in July,Trump was targeted in an assassination attempt. But not only did the former prez manage to just barely dodge the bullet as it grazed past him piercing the upper part of his ear, he also fearlessly raised his fist into the air victoriously afterward instead of letting his security push him down to protect him.
Inevitably enough, this moveearned him quite a bit of followers up his sleeveamong the likes of Logan Paul and others. And now, with the 45th president of the United States of America’s latest claim, it seems like Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson also joined the list of people who found this to be a brave and bold move on Trump’s part. As the 78-year-old Republican continued to say:
He considered it bravery; I don’t know, to be honest, I considered it like, ‘What’s going on here?’ But it was very nice, actually, the Rock.

Of course, a lot of people may find it hard to believe that someone like the Rock, who claimed earlier this year that he would not be endorsing anyone for 2024’s presidential race after expressing his regret over endorsing Joe Biden previously (seeFox News), extended his support and comfort to Trump. But, perhaps, no one was as surprised by it all as Donald Trump himself.

Continuing during the same interview, Trump went on to heap praise onDwayne Johnsonall the while expressing his own surprise at this strange turn of events. While he did find itnicethat the 52-year-old actor cum professional wrestler cum businessman found it abravemove at the hands of Trump, he also let out how he thought the Rock never liked him. Trump said:
You know, he was great. I never thought he liked me, and I felt badly because I think he’s a terrific guy.
Well, of course, a lot of fans are still reacting sarcastically in the comment section of this clip shared by@WrestleOps on Xhow this might be a made-up story by Trump. But at the same time, as surprising as it all may have been, stranger things have happened in this world. Like what, you ask?
