Helldivers 2‘s popularity is rising, and so are its sales. Available data indicatesthe high-octane and cinematic gamehas sold over 8 Million units across the globe. Sadly, Xbox players don’t get to share the fun. Players have urged Arrowhead Game Studios to bring the game over to Microsoft’s console but all the fans received in return was silence all along.
For the ones fortunate enough to play, the game has entertained them in all its glory. And this is all just the beginning and developers, alongsideGame Master Joel, are setting things in place to bring a ton of content and surprise altogether as players advance through this journey. Too bad Xbox fans won’t feel that.
Helldivers 2 Players Appear to Have Had Enough
It’s unclear if it’s simply a strategy done right or just a coincidence but players are being eager beavers trying to chop and change their existing consoles. Some fans already appear to have made up their mind as can be seen in one Reddit conversation.

“This is the other thing, i’ve had an xbox now since 2017 so there’s so many exclusives I have yet to play. I guess this means i’m buying a ps5,” one user dubbed Comfortable_Fox1180 commented in a conversation that sparked on the social media platform Reddit. Apparently, the user was the one sparking that debate. Hopefully, Fox has the answer now.

Everyone else in the chat supported and showed the user the perks of being a PS-flower. Some suggestions came to coerce the user into thinking he/she should switch to PC instead of PS.
PC gaming does have its advantages over consoles. For one, it covers pretty much everything as one user dubbed Kxr1der suggested.
Other being hotkey creation, better accuracy for peripherals, customization, and more, it also has a higher performance ceiling, especially a customized one.
It Would Be Great To See Sony and Microsoft Sharing The Same Mind
WhetherHelldivers 2will ever come to Xbox is totally up to Sony. Even Game Master Joel can’t help it. The company owns the IP and they may not want to lose the exclusivity to a game that has rocketed to immense popularity only within a couple of months of its release.

Many may not know about this but Sony has the IP rights to the game way before the first game was released. Nevertheless, they don’t own the developer Arrowhead. Meanwhile, Microsoft’s gaming division holds a different stance and isbringing multiple Xbox-exclusive games to other platforms including PlayStation.
We cannot expect the decision-makers at Sony to have a change of heart but it might be great to see the two rivals sharing the same mind which would eventually be just what the doctor ordered.
