Hidetaka Miyazaki May Have Hinted That FromSoftware Will Work On An Elden Ring Spin-Off

In June, the game’s director,Hidetaka Miyazaki, appeared for an interview withThe Guardianand confirmed that he would love to see theElden Ringfranchise going forward but in a different medium. He claimed,

I don’t see any reason to deny another interpretation or adaptation of Elden Ring, a movie for example- but I don’t think myself, or FromSoftware, have the knowledge or ability to produce something in a different medium. So that’s where a very strong partner would come into play. We’d have to build a lot of trust and agreement on whatever it is we’re trying to achieve, but there’s interest, for sure.

We don’t want to say this is the end of the Elden Ring saga for now – I think we said a similar thing at the end of Dark Souls 3. We didn’t want to flatten those possibilities or put a pin in them just at that time… We don’t have any current plans to make a second DLC or a sequel, but we definitely don’t want to snuff out that possibility. We think that there could well be something the future.
