However, the acclaimed director did not have kind words for the actor, which might have surprised Harington since his performance as Jon Snow received positive reactions from critics and fans. Furthermore, Lucas’ comment also suggested that he did not care about what happened to Harington’s character in the series, which is notorious for killing off its main characters. However, Lucas was in a jovial mood and was likely just joking with Harington. He also praised Harington as he did not give him any acting notes, hinting his performance was on point.

Benioff made the above statement, explaining how Lucas’ legendary status in the industry made him and the crew skeptical of his set visit, leading to them feeling slightly intimidated.
