During a recent interview with Metro, the producer shed light on all these rumors, and her teasing comment might as well be interpreted positively by fans. She would be fantastic. She’s amazing. We’re not quite at that stage yet. There’s a lot of fantastic female characters, but I can’t talk about all this.

Okay, that’s not confirmation, but that’s also not denial. Though, on a more serious note, Taylor-Joy could actually nail it as Felicia Hardy, as she has shown more than once that she is down to do whatever her role asks of her. Plus, when it comes to her chemistry withTom Holland, then that probably won’t be a problem, as Holland can really build chemistry with just anyone.
That said, even if the studio execs still haven’t broughtThe Queen’s Gambitactress on board yet, they might as well get to it before this golden opportunity runs out of their hands.
Who is the Black Cat in Marvel Comics?
For those unversed with the character’s background, Felicia Hardy –aka the Black Cat– is actually a cat burglar, who quite literally lives up to her reputation as she nightly stalks rooftops while navigating through the themes of crime. She is the daughter of the master thief Walter Hardy and was taken under the wings of crime by her father’s former mentor, the Black Fox.
Felicia is a rather thrill-seeking character, as it’s not the bounty that appeases her as the true reward but the process of getting her hands on it all. She first crossed paths with Peter Parker while trying to rescue her dying father from prison, and a short-lived romance soon blossomed between the two. In fact, this complicated phase even led to their brief partnership in crime-fighting.
However, their love interest in each other didn’t last long, though it did end up positively influencing and shaping Felicia. Further development in her arc had her going from a villainous figure to something more of an anti-hero one, as she became willing to do the right thing when a push came to a shove, and routinely returned to Parker’s life as one of his most stalwart allies.

All of this said, it’s inevitable that seeing this character for real – with, perhaps, Anya Taylor-Joy being the ultimatecasting for it– would be a rather thriller adventure and an appreciable addition to theSpider-Mansaga. But for now, it remains to be seen if the creators actually decide to incorporate this element in the lore or not.
